The dates have been announced for the next Con-G. It will be held February 19th and 20th, 2011 at the Holiday Inn Guelph Hotel & Conference Centre (right across from the Stone Road Mall). Yes, that’s a new location as well. We’re chock full of shiny new things this year!

Get ready for the all-new, redesigned Con-G website coming after Anime North 2010!
It will be snazzier and easier to navigate, and will also announce the dates of Con-G 2011!!
A huge big THANK YOU to everyone who came up to Guelph for Con-G 2010 on a surprisingly lovely February weekend.
Honestly we just can’t say enough good things about Con-G’s wonderful staff, they are such a great group of people and it’s such a pleasure to work with every one of them.
Thank you to all the artists, guests, dealers, attendees, cosplayers (i.e. everyone) for making our second year such a success. A big thank you to our volunteers and everyone who helped out with various tasks and to everyone who participated in our many events through out the weekend.
We had 530 people attend this year (last year there were 350) so we are really happy with the growth and super happy that it kept the fun and friendly atmosphere it had last year. Hearing all the feedback from people saying that they had a good time makes all the headaches of running a convention totally worth it.
Our masquerade was awesome again this year, thank you to everyone who participated! We apologize to everyone who entered the masq and were promised a green room feed – it worked great during set up when we tried it multiple times – clearly the masq entries were so awesome it broke the video camera.
Apparently there is some confusion about who runs Con-G. Con-G is not affiliated with any other group or organization. We are not part of the University of Guelph, nor the university’s FLASH or Games clubs. Con-G is a standalone entity run by a group of cosplayers who became friends back in university and wanted to bring an anime convention to Guelph.
Thanks again to everyone who helped make Con-G 2010 a big success!
xoxo The Con-G Staff
Con-G is over for another year!
Thanks to everyone who made it a great success, and even better than last year! This includes you, attendees! You are wonderful!
A proper post-con news update will go up shortly with follow-up details, we just wanted to thank everyone first thing this morning.
If you took photos at Con-G, remember you can add them to our Flickr Group (tag: cong2010), or upload them to the Con-G Forum Gallery (though the forum gallery is much more restrictive in terms of file size due to server space, sorry!). We’d also love to hear about your con experiences in our forum!
Con-G is at the end of the week, folks! We’re really excited, and we hope you are too!
We look forward to seeing you there!
